By altering the page categories manually, it is possible to override the steps in the Editorial Process. This may be needed sometimes. However, errors may distrupt the process.

Know what you are doing
Do not alter the page categories manually, unless you know what you are doing.

Permission control. The Handbook category means public access. The others sets permissions to the corresponding editorial role. |

The admin view sees the whole category structure associated with the pages.
Theme Responsible can also alter the page content, but due to a lower permission, the view is a bit different.
